The GNSH Board of Directors in partnership with SickKids is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2024 GNSH Annual Summit in Toronto, Canada. This summit will be held October 24-27, 2024 and will convene healthcare leaders, simulation experts and researchers, as well as corporate and industry leaders.

Summit Overview:
This engaging three-day in-person summit will provide participants with a deeper understanding of the current workforce challenges facing healthcare professionals, both in clinical and academic environments. Topics for exploration with thought leaders include discussions about the rapidly emerging innovation of generative AI in healthcare and how technologies can improve healthcare and educational delivery and outcomes. Additionally, sustainability in healthcare and education is gaining momentum and has been escalated as a top priority in our industries. Throughout the summit, we will explore what we can do as researchers, educators, and leaders to best understand the current needs around AI and sustainability and then integrate these insights into our current organizations.

Kevin is a pioneer in advancing integrated care models spanning the continuum of health and social services.

Dr. Jules White
Senior Advisor to the Chancellor for Generative AI in Education and Enterprise Solutions, Dean of Strategic Learning Programs, Vanderbilt University. As Dean of Strategic Learning Programs, he led the online MS in Computer Science at Vanderbilt to the #1 ranking by Fortune for online MS in Computer Science degrees. Dr. White’s research focuses on cyber-security and mobile/cloud computing in domains ranging from healthcare to manufacturing.

Nouman Ashraf
Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion the Rotman School of Management, recognized thought leader in the areas of emancipatory leadership, governance, and organizational behaviour. An award winning faculty member, Nouman teaches Emancipatory Leadership within the Executive MBA as well as the OMNIUM Global Executive MBA Program, Leading Social Innovation within the 2 and 3 Year MBA programs, and Leading across Differences within the Rotman Commerce Program.

Dr. Amol Verma
2023 Temerty Professor in AI Research and Education in Medicine, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology and the Temerty Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine. Dr. Verma’s research interests include using clinical data to improve healthcare. In addition to his work as a staff physician in general internal medicine at Toronto’s St. Michael’s Hospital, Dr. Verma co-leads the GEMINI project (T-CAIREM), University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine

Dr. Fiona A. Miller
Professor, Chair in Health Management Strategies, Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Graduate Faculty, School of the Environment, Director, Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care, Director, CASCADES – Creating a Sustainable Canadian Health System in a Climate Crisis, University of Toronto. In these roles, she leads and supports efforts to improve the sustainability of health systems through research, education, practice change and policy development.
